CEN® Certification Receives Continued Accreditation by ABSNC

1/18/2017

The Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification program has been granted continued accreditation by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC), the only accrediting body specifically for nursing certification.

BCEN® is extremely proud of having achieved this prestigious recognition, as accreditation signifies that the CEN certification complies with the highest quality standards set forth by ABSNC. Click here to see a listing of BCEN accredited programs.

Achieving accreditation demonstrates to nurses holding the CEN credential, nurses considering the CEN exam, employers and the public that the CEN credential is a mark of distinction, highly valued in the practice of emergency nursing care, as it raises the level of expertise in their specialty. The CEN credential is currently held by more than 32,500 RNs. Because the program is accredited and meets ABSNC’s high standards, many employers cover the cost of the exam.
