Yes You Can! Employer Exam Voucher Program is Launched by BCEN®

2/1/2017

The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) has launched the employer exam voucher program, Yes You Can!, and is now available. This cost-saving program is easy to administer and hassle-free, designed to support hospitals in reaching their department goals for the certification of nurses who practice across the emergency nursing and trauma nursing care continuum.

Brigid Flood, Director of Strategy and Operations stated that this simple online process for purchasing the cost-effective, volume-based exam vouchers allows hospital administrators the option to hand out the vouchers to any eligible RN.  Vouchers are valid for 12 months after the date of purchase and can be used for the Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN®), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN®), Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN®) and Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN®) exams.

To obtain the voucher toolkit, hospital administrators can visit the Yes YOU Can! webpage to submit an inquiry form. BCEN staff will mail the easy to follow toolkit explaining the program and next steps for receiving the vouchers.

The Yes You Can! program, in development since June 2016, is founded on research and feedback from a diverse group of hospitals and health systems who participated in the pilot phase of the program.  This highly anticipated program is now available to all health care facilities seeking to encourage and support the certification of their emergency nurses, flight and ground transport nurses and trauma nurses.

"Utilizing this program to efficiently support the certification of emergency nursing staff is the perfect way for hospitals to distinguish both their individual nurses and their departments, and stay competitive in a crowded health-care market," stated Sandra Samargis, Executive Director of BCEN.
